When you want to send DM, write it as usual. Once done, you press the 'submit' button...if your're experiencing what i am, the page goes paler, then represents itself back, acting as if we have to press 'submit' again. When it does this, do nothing...it'll (literally), fade away in seconds, and your messge sent. It's the same with new friend requests too; it's worked for me anyway.
