    finally managed to encourage mum to go out in her wheel chair and we ended up having a lovely day out.she wasnt sure about the chair but at least she wasnt stuck in the house as she has been for the last three months .we both had a crying session last week as i was so worried about her.but she seems to have shaken the depression off and is trying to eat a bit more even if it is only soup yoghurt etc..she actually seemed…

    well found out yesterday that  dad has lost another sister to the dreaded cancer .beryl died of lung cancer last friday at our local hospice leaving two devastated children a husband and a grieving family.my dad has already lost another sister jenny and abrother john to this awful thing called cancer.we also lost my brothers wife 20 years ago this month to cervical cancer she was only 39 years old and left a two year old…

    hi all my mum finally went to talk to the doctor about the depression she has had since her diagnosis ,she seems a lot better for talking to someone and my stepdad seems a bit more understanding too,.because her cancer is inoperable i guess she is apprehensive about what is going to happen to her .we seem to have been getting a few more laughs out of her this week instead of shutting herself away in the bedroom crying…

    ever since the hospice delivered mums whelchair she seems to have gone ionto a deep depression .its as though everything has registered with her all at once about her cancer.she wont let my brother and sister visit as she wont talk to anyone except for me .she is crying constantly .to make matters worse her dr is on holiday and she wont talk to anyone else xx

    i dont know why but mums memory seems to have really gone downhill .gave her tablets at9am and made sure she swallowed them .she tiold me 3times before i came back home that she hadnt had them then shes just foned to say she hasnt had them.yesterday she thought lactulose was gaviscon.im going to have to move all medication and go up at night tomake sure she takes her night time ones xxx
