    Hi all

Only 4 days to go, before the zapping will start.  Radiotherapy will start 10:20 am on Monday 5th January 09

Feeling aprehensive and deep down, frightened.  What if the little gremlins have spread, will the zapping take longer.

Only just realised the significance of Monday 5th January,  it was 5 years to the day since my father died,

(he had stomach cancer, but lived till he was 89, and reached the 66th wedding anniversary)

    Hope everything goes well

    What a start to 2009

    Sandy

    Hi All

The Radiotherapy treatment has now finished.  Just sufferring the After-effects, but hoping to start eating all the foods that I was told to stop whilst treatment was taking place.

Appointment with Consultant on 4th March,  followed by a Wedding on the 7th March, then a week away to Aberfeldy, to have a weeks fishing on the 15th March, (start of Brown Trout season).

Then will take life as it comes.  After an Anuerysm in 1999, then Cancer, I feel that whatever life can throw at me I will fight.

My wife has bee a Rock,  picked me up when I felt low, pulled me back when I tried too much.  This coupled with a strong family and friends round me has helped me cope better than what I thought.

This is a time in your life when you realise what friends you really have, and it will surprise you.  Whilst going through the treatment, the people you meet and their positive attitude made me at times feel a fraud.

Mike, (Monifieth), if you read this, you will know who you are, THANKS, with your really positive attitude, you really helped.   Go and buy your place in Italy and enjoy life.

    Always keep positive

    Sandy

    Keep positive

Thought I was alone in this, nice to hear from others in similar boat.

PSA test conducted  with other tests cos of relationship problems, no idea of prostate, Mind blowing to find PSA 21 (had no idea what this meant!) Gleason 3+4. Been more than 3 months since PSA, Bone scan tomorrow and MRI in 2 weeks.

Royal Gwent Hospital not good at breaking news about Biopsy confirmoing cancer, but nursing contact is great. There isnt any good news in their gloomy Prostate booklet is there?
