    I feel quite humbled, today I was handed the results of my histopathology for the various lesions, cysts and  gland. Those bits and pieces surgically removed 10 days ago.

    Every specimen examined has the same bland statement attached

    No evidence of malignancy is seen.

    I did not think that I would find such information so moving, but hey I am only human.

    the drug endone was administered to me this lunch time for pain control I took the prescribed dose ie15mg. Within minutes of taking it I had themosthorrendous hallucinations. I wasso out of it for most of the day I cold not get my internet working. I now read that 5mg every 4/6 hours is the correct doseage. The website says if you inadvertently take more phone the poisons unit straightaway. So i phoned the poison's unit…

  • The thing goes under the knife!

    Well tomorrow ie Wednesday the 23rd surgery to remove my "thing" takes place.

    For all of you who have faced the knife with stoicism, my congratulations. If however like me you went reluctantly but resignedly, placing your life in 'their hands', you are doubly to be praised.

  • Liver is clear of metastic disease

    I finally heard from my consultant this morning (Friday 28th) that the liver biopsy taken on the 11th is completely clear, no sign of disease.

    I still face surgery sometime in March for the removal of what is now being described as a benign THING. I have decided to have it pickled and placed in a jar.

    Any suggestions as to what to do with it please forward on a postcard.

  • Update on my "THING"

    Apparently the THING could not have come from the Mac Site as it is not listed anywhere. What I mean by this is it has not been defined in any of the literature. Sydney RPA are at a bit of a loss to categorize it.

    So far all the regular blood tests to check for abdominal cancers have returned negative results.

    The rather painful Liver biopsy had to be done whilst holding my breath. I think every hospital employee should…
