DAY 2
By 10 am we had stillnot heard from the hospital about my husband's test results and when we could go and discuss them. My husband phoned the hospital and was told he had been transferred to a different consultant and that a letter had been sent with an appointment for 3rd September!
Appointment ? they had said we could go to the endoscopy ward for a chat. I then phoned the ward as I got no joy speaking to the consultants' secretaries. We now are seeing the new consultant onFriday at 9.
This afternoon I met with my mother and the chest consultant who confirmed that my mother has lung cancer.Due to her general health it was decided that they willnot treat the cancer but treat the symptoms as they occur ( they only discovered the tumour when they scanned her stomach for something else).
My blood pressure this afternoon was 221/116 and I now need medication again.
It never rains but it pours!
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
