Worst day in a long while

Less than one minute read time.

So 2 days after my operation and i find out that there is yet another bloody tumor in my spine.... wonderful! Fed up of feeling like a complete outsider, I just want my old life back! People say you know who your friends are once you have cancer- mine wasnt the boy who was suposed to be my closest friend. Joined here to try and see if I could make some friends - all be it online- and what do you know, again im the outsider. Never felt so damn c**p in a long while - with fake users in the chatroom and what not - is there really such a thing as a genuine person - just when you need to find someone to help you through the wonders of cancer and you think you've found the help - people just kick it out of you. woope

    Hi there :)

You def find out who your friends are when you are ill!

I've made more friends online, but unfortunately lost a few 'real' friends, but I don't need people like them :)

Your at the right place to rant, cry, or make friends :)

There are many genuine caring people here on this site, three of us so far have replied to your blog. I very rarely go in the chatroom myself, I find it better to write blogs and yes most of mine have humour in them because that is the way I am, if you read my old ones you will see that I have been to hell and back. You are very young and angry and I am not surprise that you are love, I am 50 and have done many things in my life and consider myself very lucky. I have never been able to except that children and young people have to go through this, really no one should, stick with us and you will find some amazing people on here of all ages who will support you. Get your feeling down in blogs and you will see that you are not on your own. Take care....love Carol x

thinking of you, love and hugs ,always here jenni xxx

  • It really helps to write things down; it allows you to vent your anger in a safe place. Yes, we do have fakes on this site from time but we soon suss them out. I hate the fakes too but we try to take new people at face value and give them the benefit of the doubt. With time they give themselves away because those of us who have had cancer know all about the treatment and are not easily conned.

I hope you find this site helps you.
