    Monday was the second FEC appointment. As feared following the Friday blood test - the Port didn't work. My luck was in and with heat applied they were able to find another vein and so the treatment went ahead as planned. I'll be going in again next Monday to see if we can get the port working. Failing that we will need to call in the guy that fitted it to see what he might suggest / do. Other than that, washing…

    I'm delighted to say that the last 3 weeks have been a bit up and down but nothing unbearable.... I had a follow up appointment today to have my blood checked. The results were good so I'm good to go for my second treatment on Monday.     The head shaving went very well. I was really worried that it would be a very emotional experience and actually it wasn't at all. It was fab! My hairdresser took me upstairs to the training area of the salon so that we were on our own and I swear he must have spent 2 hours doing it! He took such good care of me....     This morning I treated myself to a bacon sandwich, a glass of orange juice and a coffee for breakfast as I had been told to be nil by mouth from 08:00 onwards. I arrived on the ward at 12 o'clock today as requested.
