Not such a good day for Dave x

1 minute read time.

Had a busy day yesterday being Fathers Day and got to see most of our kids and grandchildren which is always great as the little ones are so funny and even when your at your worst they brighten your mood.

Dave doesn't tell me when he is in pain or feeling under the weather but normaly I can see for myself. By 5pm he asked if he had time for a little nap before dinner, nothing unusual there. He didn't notice me watching him and thats when I saw that he was having trouble swallowing and in pain on doing so. I asked what was wrong and as usual told me all was ok (MEN don't they get on your bloody nerves at times). Eventually I got him to tell me that he has found a lump in his throat which is giving him a bit of discomfort grrrrrrrrrrr. what he really means is that it is very uncomfortable and very painful, will he take pain relief NO, will he go to the doctors NO, will I bloody well beat him YES.

He doesn't like people to know that he is unwell at any time but since the op (2 years ago now) he has got worse. Again we battle with each other today over his pig headedness. He is my constent worry my David. His check up at oncology is next week but I will ring when he is having his nap to see if he can been seen this week. We count our blessings each day that we have each other despite all the problems he is left with after the op.

We know we are so much better off than some of you or a member of your family, I feel unworthy to be writing this when some of your blogs that I have read have left me in tears.

Our hearts go out to all of you that have been touched by this bloody "C", I rant alot too.
