I woke up this morning, thinking about the future, I am currenlty single with no partner or children. and i think we will lucky if mum makes it through to the new year.

I will have no parents to introduce to any future partner, no father to give me away at my wedding and no mother to ask for parent advice, no mother to hold my hand through labour or help me get dressed on my wedding day.

I know theses are selfish thoughts but what a sad future i hold. and yet so lucky compared to others.

There not selfish thoughts, its because you have a close relainship with your mum, in lifes important times we all want the people closest to us to share it with us its only natuaral. My heart goes out to you.Treasure the time you have left with your mum., make it special for both of you.

'To live in our hearts is not to die.'

They are always with you - maybe not in body, but inside your mind so don't dwell on the future this way, but cherish the times you have and had with your parents.
