Hi all
Well today has been quite a day! First my mother-in-law got home from hospital (although she still has a septic joint that apparently could cause septicaemia again at any time and her foot looks like a balloon with sausages attached !!!) Then my nephew got home as well, hopefuly all sorted for now.
Heres the biggie........Mum got home!! Docs told her not to worry if she can't eat despite the stent, all she needs to manage are 3 fortisips a day. Still on morphine syringe driver and they are not going to change this now, as she had morphone doubled yesterday and seems to have helped ~ although unfortunately she is a bit more confused and dopey because of it. I feel like this is the start of me really losing her (does that make sense?). Anyway, shes at home with her hubby and lovely black labrador. She very happy to be home again and mac nurses coming in every day. She has decided to definately go into the hospice when she needs to.
I dont know how much longer I have her for, so I want to make the most of every day with her. I think that she doesnt have long but I dont actually know. In July, docs said months at best so given how rapidly she has come to this stage I am assuming that she has only weeks now? 12 days till my birthday, 14 till the party, 15 days till mums birthday. I so hope we can mark them all off the calendar together!
Going to spend the day with her tomorrow, hope it sunny so she can lie in her garden with the sun on her face.
Love to everyone, Sharonxx
