MUM -
Mum, if you were with me here today What words would I begin to say That could ever be enough To thank you for a Mother's love. Would I say 'I love you so' Or ' I need you ,please dont go', Or would I leave those thoughts unsaid And just hold you tight instead? How I've wished for one more chance Tto hear you laughing , watch you dance. See you splash amongst the waves And watch the sunlight on your face. Do I wish we knew that Christmas past, Was sadly going to be our last, Would I have changed a single thing, Knowing what this year would bring? How I still long to have you here, Amongst all those that you held dear, Instead your memory takes that place, Those moments time can not erase. I miss you each and every day, Your guiding hand to show the way, And yet your legacy lives on, And so reminds me to be strong. I miss you Mum, always and forever, Sharonxx
