Mid October 2009 I thought I just had a bit of a cold, turned out to be pneumonia. I had to be taken into ICU after I started to cough up blood. Ended up on a ventilator and NG tube for a week in ICU then another week in a regular 'lung' ward.
I was taken into hospital on the 29th of October, exactly one year after my granda was taken into hospital for the first time when he was diagnosed.
Now almost 15 months…
I'm still figuring out how to use the new site, don't know if anyone can read these blogs or not but i'll post something anyway.
Since my grandas scare a few weeks ago things have been looking up, he has received his next appointment at Belfasts cancer centre (finally!!!). Turns out they had forgotten to send one out, when dealing with mesothelioma four months is a very long time to be waiting between appointments…
