And so it goes on

Less than one minute read time.

Is denial part of the symptoms?

Visited this morning & he's been out pruning tomatoe plants in his greenhouse, it's tiny & if he falls down he'll be thro glass, I can't turn round in it! (too tall, not too fat btw) tell's me he has to start doing something, despite having to use a zimmer, suppose I should be glad he's soldiering on, but can't help worrying about the consequences should he go over again.

Come to think of it, when he was 70 he had his bypass opp & the week before I caught him up ladders cleaning the guttering out (on a house), told me later he'd rather have fell off than have the op, so he has previous form for this.

Just if it were me, I'd need to know everything was in place, nothing left to chance & have talked it all through, so dealing with someone who puts the shutters up is incredibly difficult.

    Hi Andrew

2yrs down the line and i suppose we go into denial at times, or maybe we are just getting on with it???

Im sure things are going over in his mind while he potters about, just have to continue as you are until he is ready to put things in order. Supporting him as you are is all you can do.

Hope for your piece of mind, and his, he opens up soon.

    Love to you all
