    Regular readers of my blog will know I was banished to the spare bedroom on August 8th for excessive snoring and disruptive behaviour.  I am very pleased to report that last night my husband gave me the opportunity to return to our bed for one night as a trial, and my permanent return has been approved.  I am very pleased about this.  The nights are starting to get a bit chilly now and there was no way I was going to be…

  • We were going on holiday today.

    We were supposed to be going on holiday today but we cancelled it a couple of months ago before we had to pay the balance.   People said we should have paid the balance and seen how I was nearer the time, we always had the option to claim the money back on the insurance.  However I knew that my medical records clearly show I was aware of the lump a good month before I booked the holiday.  So I didn’t want to take the chance…

    Off to the hospital again today to meet yet another type of medical professional in my cancer journey.  This time the Audiologist.  A very nice young man who determines hearing loss.  I've never had my hearing tested before and I was curious to know how it was going to be done.  Pretty simple really.  He put headphones on me, pushed my chair round so I couldn't see the computer screen, and then proceeded to play a variety…

  • Hospital Check Up

    Today I went back to the hospital for a check up, the first for 3 weeks.  My last check up was done by the Oncologist in the Oncology Department but I am now back in the care of the ENT clinic in Outpatients.  So back to the same clinic where my cancer journey started in February 2013.  Feels like years ago now!  I wasn't looking forward to today for two reasons.  Firstly I had been warned to expect the camera up the nose…
