dodgy food taste

omg why does everythign taste like its been in 4 day old washing up water - why bother eating its enough to make me vomit! i keep drinking cherry coke, just for the flavour, am off the blackcurrant juice now - yuk! was sticking in my throat and making me feel sick! everythign tastes funny and i now need strong flavours in everything, so poor cris gets curry everyday lol....or lashings of salad cream on sarnies, or marmite!!!! cant even eat jam now and even my bread is making me feel sick - but i have my blessings! only 12 hours of sickness, and no dizziness! stemetil is the best pill ever!

i feel good day 3, even went out today for a walk! - only 4 to go and am hoping it stays this positive!

pickled onions, oj and strong flavours are best.......even the smell of food in the fridge used to make me queezy... your doing great...

I havnt tasted or smelled a thing for the last 11 yrs,

Sounds like I got the good side of the deal. I just use my imagination and remember what things tasted like. and thats what I eat.

Keep going Wendy - have you tried ginger biscuits / cake? My step dad loved them when he was on chemo.

Hi Wendy, I drank loads water and went other way could only stomach v. sweet foods which is opp to normal also chewed gum alot as minty flavour helped with nausea. I also found counting down helped alot.

I didn't go off food infact I ate more and put on 2 stones. Sweet drinks made me sick. Good luck Love Julie x
