What's happened since.

Less than one minute read time.

Since my last post, things have been going good. Hair is still really curly but I'm keeping it short.

We have had a lovely holiday to Greece and are planning on more holidays in the near future.

I have lost nearly 2kg of the weight that I put on during my chemo journey.

I've had my first post treatment mamogram and only waited 2 day's to get my results which were so very quick. No suspicious features found, I cried as was so happy. Now I can breathe a bit until the next one.

I have my second Zolondronic infusion the end of January. I'm also seeing the surgeon to see if my bookies need evening up but I don't think I will bother with that.

Wishing you all well.

The road is long and there will be potholes to avoid, and possible delays, but you'll get there in the end. Stay positive, and as active as you can. Xx

  • Well done Alison keep up all your good work. I’m glad you had such a great holiday. I found it really hard to go to France but enjoyed it once I arrived.  And you’re doing so well losing weight - I still haven’t lost any so feeling a bit gloomy about that especially as I have a wedding in 2 weeks.
As you say, a long road ahead but it seems as if you’re travelling

  • I'm glad you enjoyed your time in France, I was very nervous about going on our holiday too but all was good once we got there, apart from the mozzies thought I was there dinner, ended up with 37 bites. I got worried as all on bad boob side mainly, but got antibiotic cream for them.

Don't get down about your weight, I have been rather strict and only eating 1 main meal most days, I just don't fancy breakfast most days although, I ate it on holiday. I have started playing indoor bowls again too so lots of bending and lunges, legs still wobble like jelly though :))

Enjoy the wedding, and  remember winter is coming so need extra to keep warm. Xxx

  • Can’t believe you had so many bites! Open mouthSounds like you’re really benefitting from bowls. I’m back to may fitness classes and lots of gardening.
I just developed such a sweet tooth whilst in chemo (very out of character) but now back to healthy eating so I hope to see an improvement soon. I don’t know how you manage without breakfast though.
I’ve just started scar tissue therapy at my local hospice which is really helping.

Hope all goes well with your mammogram and that the next year is less eventful than last.  One year on - longest year ever but we got through it Hugging xxx

  • We certainly did get through it Kazza, I m not expecting my weight t9 ever be the same now, I will just need to buy some more new clothing. After what we have been through sweet treats will do us good.

Scar therapy? I have never heard of that before. I hate my boobie scar but luckily it's covered all the time.

Hope you have a great week. Sending hugs xx
