I had another good night's sleep, but the day started to go down hill after that.
I had my phone call with the oncologist nurse specialist, and went through the few problems I had post the first Paclitaxel chemo. When she looked at my blood's which were taken on Monday. She informed me that my liver bloods were not good and she's sending me for a liver US and that my bloods also suggested I might have a bit of an infection, and therefore my 2nd Paclitaxel Chemo that I was due to have tomorrow has been cancelled, and hopefully I'll be able to have it next Thursday. I have emailed pictures of my skins reactions to the picc dressings too, as she wants to see what my arm is like.
I went to my Gp's this afternoon as suggested during this mornings phone call, as I'm a bit sore down below and they wanted to make sure it's not thrush or infection. Dr ruled out thrush, so she took a swab to make sure no infection. She did say that the skin was very weak, and thinning and dry, so she's prescribed some cream to help. She rang consultant to find out if I could have one that contained Oestrogen but they said no at the moment, as that needs further discussion.
I have got my ultrasound tomorrow afternoon, so I'm hoping that doesn't show up anything nasty. I'm feeling really low, at the moment, that my Chemo has been cancelled, and that the chemo might be causing the damage to my liver.
