I slept fairly well, seeing I was so stressed out lastnight. I managed 1 cup of tea with some milk before I had to go onto clear fluids in preparation for my liver/abdominal ultrasound this afternoon. The time seems to stand still waiting to go to the Nightingale in Exeter. All that kept going through my mind was what if chemo has damaged my liver too much. Then I was fretting about missing today's chemo.
I arrived at the hospital at just after 2.45 for my 3.10 appointment , I checked in and went to the wating room, I was sat there for less than 2 minutes when a familiar face called out my name, it was so good to see one of my old work colleagues was there today. I layed on the table and my scan started, the male stenographer, had a good look and said that all looked as it should look. It felt like a weight had been lifted.
We got home and had a lovely dinner and finished off with cake.
Tomorrow my husband and I are both going to our cancer support center and having a complimentary reflexology session. I think after the last 2 days we could both do with a pamper.
I might give the blog a rest for a few days as, today should have been the start of the second cycle, and seeing it isn't. I might let you know how the reflexology goes though. But I will see. X
