Second Zolondronic infusion 30th January

Less than one minute read time.

Well tomorrow I will have my second Zolondronic infusion, my bloods have been done and all is well.

Since my last blog things have really been very hard emotionally.

I have lost my mum, and my dad's parkinson's is really not good and we are spending lots of our time travelling to make sure he's doing OK.

Fingers crossed this second infusion goes well and no side effects.

Had a lovely hair cut via the hair reborn charity. I'm going for my second haircut next week. Natalie at Reds Hair Salon Taunton was brilliant.

  • Hope your infusion went ok today Alison.
So sorry to hear about your mum and now your dad in poor health too. It must be exhausting and so triggering after such a difficult year for you.
Your hair looks great. I’ve had mine cut a couple of times for free with cancer hair care and Talents in Hitchin. It’s very curly and was grey but now have had it coloured so I’m really pleased.
Hope things become a little easier for you.
    sending love,

  • Hiya Kaza.

Everything went well today, hopefully I won't get any reactions or side effects again. I will take a couple of me days now if I can, but it's hard as dad is such a sweetie and so lost at the moment.

I took £150  in to our local Force cancer support today, it was half of the donations from mums funeral. They even offered me to take dad in to see them for some counselling if he wanted to go in which was so lovely of them.

What style and colour have you gone for now? Its great with these charities helping us to find new hairstyles. Would love to see what yours look like now.

I'm having my second haircut next week, it's starting to curl again now, but nothing like it was before my first cut, as I was looking like a poodle. I'm going to embrace the grey as so much easier than colouring again.

Sending hugs and love to you. Xx

  • Hi Alison Glad to hear everything went well today and a good idea to take it easy for a few days.
The donation from your mums funeral sounds amazing - what a wonderful thing to do. Your poor dad must be missing your mum so much so I’m sure he relies on you a great deal. I’m busy looking after my grandchildren and happy again after feeling very gloomy in November and December when I had a series of infections and no desire to do anything even get out of bed - much worse than during chemo. So I’m glad that’s passed and I have taken up art history and watercolour painting to keep me busy.
My hair is still very curly but at least has some style now.

    • Stay well and take care of yourself very well - you’ve been through so much xxx
