Tuesday after a bank holiday and a week after the MRI I decided it was time to chase things along.
I phoned the nurse team and asked what was happening.
I was told that a letter was in the post with an appointment to see the consultant, or one of his team, the following Tuesday (a week after the MRI).
I asked what the results of the MRI were and was told this would be discussed at the meeting.
I started to worry again.
The next day the letter arrived by second class post confirming my appointment, for the first time I started to feel very much a number rather than a name.
