The journey

Less than one minute read time.

My husbanfd had the 'big op' for his cancer in the oesophagus yesterday, it was the longest day ever.  I'm glad to say all went according to plan and today he sat in a chair watching telly.  This is truly a miracle of mofern science and we're so grateful. I hope his progress continues as well.

I can't express the relief I feel.  Thanks to all of you who have sent messages of hope and encouragement, they were most appreciated.

  • Hi Jan

This is a huge relief for you I know.  I thought about you yesterday, so I’m very glad that the surgery went according to plan.  Please tell your husband to do everything the physios ask of him to enable him to fully recover as smoothly and swiftly as possible.  All the very best to you both and good luck in the coming days.

It's so heartening to read more good news on this topic as I battle the same thing with little hope of experiencing the operative option, but never, say never as my chemo blitz seems to be going well and nobody knows what's round the corner. Wishing your husband all speed in his recovery from surgery Jan
