The journey

Less than one minute read time.

My husbanfd had the 'big op' for his cancer in the oesophagus yesterday, it was the longest day ever.  I'm glad to say all went according to plan and today he sat in a chair watching telly.  This is truly a miracle of mofern science and we're so grateful. I hope his progress continues as well.

I can't express the relief I feel.  Thanks to all of you who have sent messages of hope and encouragement, they were most appreciated.

Sat in a chair the following day watching telly? Incredible! You are sure the did the right op?!

This obviously bodes well for the future, you must be so relieved. All the very best to you both.

Good Luck. I'm facing the same op myself, in about 5 weeks time after my second course of chemo finishes. But, looking forward to my (convalesence) recovery. I told the team as long as there's a nice sandy beach nearby...  the surgeon laughed out loud !

Just found this page - fantastic already.  Keep it going and best wishes.  My husband had the Ivor-Lewis 3 wks ago and very much some ups but with plenty of downs too.
