Just left my dad in hospital for a platelet transfusion. Hope they'll look after him right - hope they realise how weak he is, how restricted the food he can eat is, how scared he is. How hard it is to see someone you love with their spirits so low. At least my mum and i will get a better night's sleep, but who will he talk to at 5 am? I'm glad that when I made the decision to come and care for him in his last few months of life that I didn't appreciate how hard it would be, cos I might not have felt able to do it.
