Deliver the letter, the sooner the better....

Less than one minute read time.

Remember the Carpenters song Please Mr Postman? Well I'd like to sing it to our postman, no results yet and past the 2 week window. I forget about it most of the time, but it seems so long since I first had the bleed when it's really only a couple of months. Friends are asking me if I've heard yet. I receive it with good grace (they care, I know) but it's kind of like when I was past due with my kids and occasionally well-meaning acquaintances would greet me with 'You're still here then?'! When I know, I'll trumpet it from the rooftops, ok? Well, I'll tell my boss, my best mate at work, and my reflexologist at least. Good or bad news, they'll hear it. So please understand that asking me if I've heard yet isn't a good opening to a conversation as I want to forget that I might have cancer until I'm told I do/don't have cancer. And I want to stay friends with you rather than yell 'Give it a rest can't you?' because you may not understand.

Thank you.

    Hi mut657.

Yes the waiting is the hardest part (think that was a line from a Tom Petty song!).

We see the onc tomorrow, will find out if Mimi is in remission.

Thing is I get the impression that after the surgery and chemo she thinks she is "cured" I have not been brave enough to broach the subject with her, so will wait till tomorrow and if its bad news will be there to pick up the pieces.

Here's to us both getting good news tomorrow.

Ah the blessed Tom Petty! It must be tough for you when Mimi thinks that way. I guess neither of us got what we wanted (no results for me yesterday) but I can put my situation into perspective reading your blog! Dare I say look after yourself too without sounding preachy? Take care, Mut
