Well, today's review at the Royal Marsden Fulham Road was a shock! Once again I thought I'd be told that the recent surgery I've just had would be enough to cure me. No, life is that not kind. I have been told that this nasty agressive cancer needs an equally agressive form of treatment so it's straight to chemotherapy for me. A CT and PET scan, plus bone marrow biopsy will decide what type. Ho hum. Will lose all my hair and will probably not be able to have any more children. But...my hair will grow back and I already have two beautiful children so all is not lost. I'm just so shocked. I thought I might need possibly need radiotherapy but the prof told me before my 2nd op I wouldn't need it. Got two drugs lined up for me ifosfamide and doxorubicin. The joys of spindle cell rhabdomyosarcoma sieze to amaze me. This time it's war...lightsabers to the ready.
