Help!

Less than one minute read time.

I have just been told cancer has spread to my liver and it isint curable!   Understood  I was having precautionary chemo after a hystarectomy  but aparently it had spread to my liver and my scan before recent stint of chemo  and scan after show the tumour is growing, have to have more chemo but its not curable, basically they say you have chemo it shrinks it then it comes back and you have chemo again, I dont understand, has anyone here been through the same.

    Hi Marion,

Sorry to hear your news and can understand your shock and disbelief at the news.

I have Inoperable/incurable Prostate Cancer - diagnosed 2 1/2 years ago - the only treatment available to me is Hormone injections, every 3 months, to stop the production of testosterone,  thats how my cancer grows. It will be effective for a number of years yet I have been told !

So yes there are many people on this site who may well be  in a comparable position to you and will be able to help with information, support and friendship - main point is never feel you are alone - you will always find someone to listen here.

I hope you get some positive information and help soon - take care. Being inoperable is not an immediate certain death sentence !

    Hugs Mate

    John xx

  • It is so scary to be in your position but this what the new Mac Cancer Campaign is all about - LIVING WITH CANCER. It is a rocky road but people do live with an inoperable diagnosis for many years.

    Cyber hugs,
