Less than one minute read time.

I have just been told cancer has spread to my liver and it isint curable!   Understood  I was having precautionary chemo after a hystarectomy  but aparently it had spread to my liver and my scan before recent stint of chemo  and scan after show the tumour is growing, have to have more chemo but its not curable, basically they say you have chemo it shrinks it then it comes back and you have chemo again, I dont understand, has anyone here been through the same.

    Hi Marion,

Yes I had breast cancer, also cancer in my uterus  my b.c. Spread to my liver, and it's not curable, mine wasn't diagnosed until I had 5 large tumours in my liver ranging from the size of a golf ball to a tennis ball, I had 8 fec 100 chemo's in 2008, which shrunk all tumours, and they are still stable, a new one was found in march of this year, and I finished my 6th taxotere chemo in august 10th, and the new tumour has shrunk too, if/when more grow I will have more chemo, I know it is very scary for you, but they are discovering new ways to fight cancer all the time, and the way I look at it is, if they keep me going long enough, they will find a cure, .....you mustn't give up, keeping positive really does make a difference.....

Please feel free to read my profile and/or blogs, and contact me anytime

    Good luck

Hi Marion, I have been living with Ovarian cancer for 9yrs. I was told they could not cure me but could buy me time. I am still going strong. I have now had 4 rounds of chemo. I know when my cancer starts to grow again i will have more chemo. I am lucky really because my cancer has no affected any other organ. Its not the end of your life but giving you time to do all the things you want to do. You should make the most of the time you have. As Liz said staying positive really does help.
