Not what we had hoped for as pain is getting worse for Ed. He has had his usual denial period and temper which is difficult for me to handle even though I know it is his frustration as he tries to fight the cancer. Turned a corner yesterday as i phoned oncology then told him afterwards. I knew when he didnt argue that I had done the right thing and off we went to the doctors for pain relief discussion and a form to get xray done. Ed would only settle for co- codomol ( he wont use anything morphine based) and wouldnt go for xray this morning. Still he says he will go friday, he just has to be in control. He also says the MacMillan nurse can come back which is a huge relief to me. So I guess we havent got very far but just him admitting he needs help is a major breakthrough for us. If we can get through this week we may find out what is happening as i dont know if it is the pancreas or bowel or something else.
