The Lady Boys of Bangkok!!!

1 minute read time.
Firstly id like to say a big thank to you those who read my first blog and who very kindly (nearly wrote kidney!!) left comments from me,i am not alone,i am grateful for the things i have, and at the moment the little things mean so much more to me - homemade lasagne then strawberrys and cream with my mum and sister, all of us having a carry on in the car on the way to asda, having a cuddle on the sofa while watching tv,i hope never again to take the small things for granted and enjoy my life as it is,to be satisfied with what i have and to put my trust in others and the doctors looking after me. I have my MRI tomorrow and im really nervous but i know i wont get any results there and then so i have to just go on as usual. Its Edinburgh Festival time again here and tomorrow ive been invited out to see the Lady Boys Of Bangkok (is that how you spell it?) I wasnt going to go but have decided what the hell i could do with a laugh,i went last year and spent the whole show looking at these gorgeous creatures who had legs to die for and the most immaculate make up ive ever seen in my life,i almost asked for tips!! So a girly night out is in order and i hope the conversation doesnt turn to me and cancer and bloody kidneys i hope its just a normal girly night, where we talk about everything else but me! Im boring!!!!

Most times though we are only boring to ourselves. Other people find a lot in there that we don't see as being anything special.

Been to Edinburgh many times during festival time, I've never been able to see any of it because it's always the tattoo (work), and those damm uncomfortable bench things you have to sit on. Even with a couple of foam cushions under my rear it's still numbing.

p.s .... keep the lasagne, it's the strawberries for me every time.

    Hi there,

Im ashamed to admit this but i have never been to Edinburgh tattoo, its looks something else though,we walked past the castle the other night when it was on and the buzz is amazing, isnt it always the same when you live somewhere that has the most amazing tourist attractions you never seem to make it to them yourself ! So what brought you to the tattoo then? Im looking forward to the Labyboys a great show if you ever get the chance to go you should do so, preferably when the tickets are half price lol

    take care Leigh xx

hiya, ooh edinburgh i went there on a school trip when i was ten, i remember the guards in the furry hats. i would love to go to both the tattoo and the ladyboys i bet there both great. good luck for tomorrow (mri) and chill out and enjoy tomorrow night and as bren said we are interesting and special to others, however i would imagine it would be very noisy and you won't be able to have much conversation anyway so if i where you i would just eat and drink lol thinking of you tracy xx

I saw some of Edinburgh by taxi last year.....on the way from the airport to our hotel - from the hotel to Meadowbank and vice versa - my boys were competing in the Karate Commonwealth Championships (one picked up a bronze in a category of 63 kids - proud mum bit)..the sun shone for two whole days while we were there but we saw nada.....never have the time on karate trips.

Enjoy the show, chillax for the MRI the more still you lie, the better the picture.

Keep blogging - oh and if the ladyboys give you any good tips, pass them on ;)

    Debs xx

I drive coaches and ended up in Edinburgh during August when I wasn't toddling somewhere around Europe somewhere.
