Hello

Less than one minute read time.
Hi This is my first post. Mum in law has angiosarcoma of the left breast (secondary - grade III). She has had 6 lots of chemo over the last 6 months, but not a lot has happened. They have offered her a radical mastectomy, but offer no guarantees. She is 74 and does not want a 10 hour operation. we know this type of cancer is very aggressive, and that the prognosis even after surgery is only about 46% chance of 5 year survival. i have enquired about prognosis without the op, and am waiting for a reply. Just want to hear from anyone with any experience of this please.

My mum was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000 (aged 64) she had 28 lymph nodes removed and 20 wee infected, she had a mastectomy (left breast) and  her prognosis was 6 months as her cancer was very aggressive too.  She had chemo  but doctors were not very hopeful.  My mothere is still with us and is cancer free,  do not give up hope.  Thinking of your family
