Day 2 I have felt very nausious today but kept vomiting at bay with anti- emetics and ginger buscuits, ( Good excuse to eat them) I feel starving all the time, can't stop eating. Have decided that it is probably due to the fact that I can't drink and I am probably thirsty. ( Why couldn't it have been the other way round) Am trying to drink tea and coffee, I have bottled water but it tastes yuk at room temperature. Orange juice is about the nicest tasted but I have to wait until it too is warm. The worst thing again has been the muscle spasms in my ankles and calves. Felt paralised yesterday and had to be helped to walk. It soon passed after an hour. I have experienced it today but only for a short while. Oh well should all be over by Sunday. I hope so because it is my birthday a week today and I am looking forward to sharing the bottle of champagne that I have had in my fridge since before my chemo. Should have drank it before now. Oh poor you Julie. I have been very lucky with the nausea. All the tablets I'm taking seem to do the trick. Are you taking any steroids? I take them for the first few days of my cycle and I think they increase my appetite and also keep me hyperactive during the night. Shame that everyone else is fast asleep!

Hi Ange! Yes I take 8mgs steroids for 3 days but last time I only took one days and hopefully this time I will only take todays. I will listen to my body each morning. I also have Maxalon which I seem to have taken more of this time.The cramps are the worse. Never mind I still feel I am getting off lightly compared to some! Anyway I hope you remain well. hi julie just a word of caution, check if the steroids are part of the treatment and not just for feel good factor. I was on r-chop and did similar to you to manage the side effects and when checking with consultant found the steroids were part of the treatment.

and yes as angela says they make you eat and keep you hyper but 3 days is not bad I had them for 5 days, there is always chat through the night though.
