Finished CT,MRI. and Pet Scans. I've been referred to the Beatson at Gartnavel from Hairmyres.My new Consultant's name is Michael Duff and when I inquired as t why this was taking place I was told it was bacause he has more experience in these more Complex surgery procrdures. I can tell you I wasn't overboard with excitement when I heard that.Still just another slight hiccup I'll need to deal with.

That was the bad news, the good news is I'm going to marry Deirdre, my partner of 17 years; nothing too lavish maybe a guest list of about 30-40 max. We're hoping to do it before surgery whilst I'm still a relatively whole human being.

Hi Jim,

Firstly Congratulations on your forth coming marriage. My Daughters a nurse at the Gartnavel.

I was in the old Beatson about 13yrs ago. but the new one is supposed to be right up to date with all the new medical eqpt. All the best when you start your treatment. Wishing you and Deidre all the best for the future.

Hi Jim congratuations on your wedding plans. I am attending the Beatson for treatment and can only say the staff are fantastic and make the journey muc easier to cope with, I hope it goes as smoothly as possible for you.

Hi Jim, you'll find all the top docs at the Beatson, try to be reassured about that.

Congratulations on your forthcoming wedding. I married my partner of 16 and a half years in Nov 2009. Still going strong lol.

p.s. I live in Hamilton, so guess you're not too far away if you attend Hairmyres. I had my treatment at Wishaw General though x
