my daughters prom :)

1 minute read time.

Well huge week for my 13 year old daughter this week , last week at school before going up to secondary school , and on thursday she has her school prom , but i can tell shes really missing her dad , and is very quiet about the prom as hes not here , she has a beautiful dress ,jewellery ( yes i did spoil her i wanted it to be special )and shoes , and will look amazing , but i wish she believed as i do that he will see her ,but sadly she thinks im nuts ,

As for me , yes im a bit sad too, and yes i will cry ,i get tearful even thinking about it and yes as ju not here ,but they will be happy tears too for my beautiful daughter who despite everything is an amazing young lady ,with a heart of gold , whom im very very proud of , and her dad would be too , and i will be thanking my lucky stars that despite everything, my kids have come through this last year with a positive and happy attitude , and a smile on thier face,,

Speaking of smiles , i just had the hugest grin on my face , i love baking ,its my therapy ,well joke in our house was ju would always lick the bowl ! well since hes been gone noones done it till today, when my daughter came in ,i was making brownies and when my back was turned she only pinched the bowl :) ,and came back with most of it up her face ,

Slowly but surely we are healing, and we have proved  being honest, and loving each other is the way to do it , oh and my biggest tip , is lots and lots of hugs x

And as for the prom ,we will do it together as we do everything else ,and bless shes told me i am allowed to cry ,just this once !! im such a lucky mum :) xx

Jenni, I went through something similar with Jack's leaving secondary school prom.  I wanted to photograph him leaving etc because IF and I say IF the docs are right about my prognosis, I won't be here to see Sean's or Lara's prom.

I get so emotional over the stupidest (is that even a word) thing and I can cry at the drop of a hat. Of course I plan on being around a lot longer but who knows eh.

I hope Ju is watching over her and she can feel his love on her prom night.......I look forward to the photos xx
