Well it has been scan result day today. As usual, I prepared myself for the two extreme results..... no change, okay carry on as before....... something found, okay get on with further treatment. So which result did I get? Well, neither.... the bones are stable but the scan picked up a "small something" on my liver. A small something that is not quite identifiable. My onc wants to investigate further and is asking the radiologists at Christies which route to take, ultrasound or MRI. I have my fingers, toes and anything else crossable that they opt for ultrasound ( I am claustrophobic), but in the event of having to have an MRI I have come up with a devious plan involving a lot of codology. ( Codding someone is fooling them only in this case I hope to cod myself!!) The onc went on to discuss what the next step would be if it turns out to be something. Obviously the tamoxifen is not working, so will change that to faslodex..... monthly injections into my rather large derriere ( I knew it would come in handy one day) As the something is small chemo isn't on the cards it's going to be a case of watching and waiting to see what happens... Derriere injections.... thankfully I won't be able to see the needle coming.... but where can I get a nice rubber ring from .... ( or should I add one to my Christmas list?)
Take care everyone xx
