I shall be glowing by the end of next week!

1 minute read time.
Well it's like the buses isn't it, a long while to wait and then two come together, except I haven't had to wait at all. Got the phone call about the ct scan yesterday (next Thursday). Then this morning my husband rang work to say an appointment for the boen made, next Tuesday 12.45 injection 3.45 scan. So things are moving at an incredible speed. Hopefully I should get the results within a couple of weeks and will know one way or the other. Have decided that if my little friend has decided to spread its wings and visit other parts of my body to set up home that I will not let everyone at work know, I certainly don't want the sympathetic looks and being treated as if one foot, knee, leg and hip is already in the grave. No, it shall be carry on regardless! I was really touched today as the deputy head said how she had always thought of me as being a very strong person...me I have until this diagnosis always seen myself as a bit of a drip and a coward. So this disease has brought something positive into my life. Take care folks kath xx

I know what you mean about the looks you are given when you mention the "c" word. I found it really difficult to tell anybody about my diagnosis, in fact I took the chicken's way out and texted a lot!!! I remember telling one colleague at work and the look of horror on her face was enough. However I am still here!

I hope your results come through asap. As they say in Scotland " it's the hinging (hanging) aboot  that gets ye"! I am sure your deputy head is correct and that you are a strong person. I think we all are - let's face it, do we have an option?

    Keep strong
