First CMF

Less than one minute read time.
Well it was a strange day today. Normally when I go for chemo I leave at about nine and travel to Manchester, have a coffee and then of to Christie’s ready for the afternoon appointment. Today I was off to the local hospital, about twenty five minutes away so I didn’t need to leave until after lunch. (Which actually left me more time to worry about the bl***** canula! ) Anyway once there there was the usual wait as the clinic was running late ( do they ever run on time?) The nurse certainly had a magic touch as she found a vein quite easily ( with the help of hot pack) and the needle went in almost painlessly! Fantastic, I hope she is there next week. The chemo was over in about twenty minutes and that was me done with. Had I gone straight home I would have been home for half four instead of eight. Wonderful! It is even worth having to go the day before for my blood test. Take care all Kathx

    Hi Kath

Good one, glad it was nice and quick and that your veins behaved themselves. I haven't had to wait for any of my chemo's so far cos with the cold cap you get your chair reserved near the freeze your head machine.  Having my CMF at a local Dr surgery and I'm the only one - so should be in and out in no time.

Hope the rest go as smoothly and quickly.

    Take care

    Carol xx
