am in need of a rant!

1 minute read time.

Oh I am so sorry to come on here and rant, but I feel if I don't I may end up committing murder! I am being driven up the wall and over the other side! Why, you might ask. Well it is absolutely nothing to do with the big C or its treatment. No it is far more trivial that that. I have a broken toe, and have to wear a plaster slipper. Because of this trifling injury I cannot go to work, not because of the injury, more to do with H&S. Now I was off work for eight months when I had chemo and was able to get out each day. I was one of the lucky ones, I had very few side effects and not many bad days. However, I cannot get out. My swimming lessons have had to stop, my driving lessons have to stop, walks around the block are possible only if the weather is good, and guess what it has been raining. I have turned into a harridan, the wicked witch from the west. In fact my husband keeps suggesting I hop on the yard brush and fly away! ( His sense of humour is not his finest point.... ) Hopefully the weather will brighten this afternoon so that I can try and hobble over to a friend's house for a change of scenery.

Two weeks before I go back to the hospital and see if the plaster can be removed.....will I , or indeed my husband, last so long.!

Take care all,

Kath xx

Oh Kath, poor you! It must be sooooo frustrating for you.

I hope the weather picks up a bit and you manage to get out and about more. It will do you good to get out of the house and  to your friend's for a while. It will do your hubby good to I suppose, he might live a while longer lol.

    Best wishes, Christine xx

Oh Kath you mean we're safe to go out on the roads.....  ;-) Sorry lov.  Your husbands sense  of humour sounds like my sons, when someone asked if I was suffering a lot when going through the menopause and I replied "no not having too much of a bad time" he piped up "No, Its us that's suffering" He's such a smart mouth!!!!!!

Hope the weather dry's up soon so you can get out, if not hire a wheel chair wrap your plaster in cling film or plassy bag and make aforementioned hubby push you out.

Hey Kath, know how you feel very frustrating being unable to get out and about. On a practical note you can buy plastic covers to go over plasters from the chemist.(not sure if they do one for feet/legs) worth a look though to save your sanity.

Hope the sun shines for you soon.
