A jolly Christies Christmas Eve

1 minute read time.
Well I hope my next Christmas Eve is less exciting than this one, I ended up being admitted to hospital at midnight and spent most of the day there! I had been forced to ring the emergrncy hot line number as my temp had gone into orbit and I developed a hacking persistent cough. So one ambulance drive and there I was . Have you ever tried getting into a hospital late at night, especially when the ambulance drivers hadn't been there before? Eventually found myself on the ward and the first thing was the dreaded canula!!! Anyway had range of tests , bloods which were fine, ecg which was fine, chest xray which was fine and then dosed up with IV and oral antibiotics. I cannot stress how fantastic the care was. Thedoctors (who made delicious eye candy) the nurses even the porter who took me to xray wanted to wrap me up in a blnket as I had forgotten to pack my dressing gown! Anyway I eventually got home and have spent the time since then either in bed or stretched out on the sofa.Well there is always new year to look forward to. I wonder what can happen then? All we can do is wait and see! Happy New Year to everyone Love Kathxx

so sorry to hear your news but glad you were let out again.  I had the dreaded infection two weeks after my final chemo back in october so know how you felt, but at least you came home again and wasnt shoved into isolation for a week.  Things can only improve, keep well and a big old hug to you xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Oh Kath

I am so sorry, the eye candy sounds good but what a way to get it.  I've went to my sisters for Christmas ans she had a stinking cough, so we sat on opposite sides of the room and no kissing/huggng.  So far I'm germs free I hope.

Take good care of yourself and let everyone look after you, keep my fingers crossed for a good new year.

    love and huigs

Well I am feeling better but utterly exhausted going upstairs leaves me puffing for breath like a 90 year old! When I was in work the other week I got several hugs and I suspect that's how the nasty little bug attached itself to me. I'm back to virtual hugs only from now on!!!!

    Love and hugs kathX
