Just had results back from blood test - all ok for chemo tomorrow - first session - fingers crossed it works for mum. An occupational therapist came to see mum today and said, she cannot get a grant for a new bathroom with a walk in shower. Fine there we are then!!!!
saw the oncologist - mum can start her chemo on friday... great news. the only prob is that the lymph glands are pressing on the kidney which may impact on the amount of chemo she can have. fingers (and everything else crossed)
the consultant dropped another thing on us yesterday. mum has a problem with her kidney, its not draining properly and she needs it fixed before chemo can start. we made the 2 hour trip to see him in the most desparate circumstances, mum was sick and in pain. it was terrible.
BUT i have followed it all up and thankfully they have made an urgent appointment for us to see the local oncologist tomorrow! thats good news…
