Hello everyone, I am afraid i am new and not sure how this works...
My dad had the Ivor Lewis op this week he is still in intensive care. I thought he was just having a tumour removed from the gullet. Post surgery (8hr op) we were told he had the oesphagectomy, partial stomach removal and that he had lost his spleen too. As this was bleeding? Was it ruptured during the process?
