Wind

1 minute read time.

Thank you all for your good wishes and comments, its strange really as when I write these posts I don't imagine many people reading them. It helps us remember its not all bad, best of luck to you all too.

Any way Monday was a long but productive day in many ways.

We left on the 5.17 train it was still dark so I didn't see what Peter was wearing until we were waiting for a bus in London, he had grabbed his mucky gardening coat........ great I thought were going to make a good impression today. Well we arrived at the hospital just before 8 am it is still very quiet, and we enjoy porridge and coffee while we wait for blood tests. this all sounds lovely but the reality was Peters innards are unruly at the moment. and they decided to go into action as he walked across the cafeteria, every step he took he trumped loud and long like a marching band. .........

What is it with us and wind at the moment our 4th attempt at hot air ballooning was cancelled on Sunday and on Monday Peter could have filled a hot air balloon.

On the plus side it did bring out the inner child and we laughed and giggled for ages.

The serious stuff Peter had his 12th Herceptin  Drs confirmed he is bleeding its a trickle, his bloods show he is making up the loss, he was to have Barium swallow and further endoscopy this week but we decided to fall back regroup and go for it next week. No point rushing to meet trouble it can and will make it all the way here on its own.

As we have put off the evil hour, we grabbed tickets to The Billy Fury Story and a nearby hotel for a couple of nights and were off...............

What is it about the downside of cancer, your Peter's 'issues' in this instance that reduces otherwise supposedly mature adults into giggling naughty children? I think Laing and I never had so many puerile moments in all our years as we did with his cancer. Keep writing, your mix of laughter and tears is wonderful reading and is presently brightening up a somewhat cloudy Venetian day. Written on my iPad.

    Thank you Tim

I am glad my post brightened your day as you recalled similar moments with Laing. Mushty x

Yes, agree with Tim, this made me smile, and I am picturing you both "floating" across the cafeteria! Hope you're enjoying your few nights away xx
