What's that in the Swimming Pool ?

1 minute read time.

Enjoyed a Midsummer Murders Coach Tour then spent  a lovely mini break during half term  with our 3 grandchildren twin boys age 9 and a girl of 8 and gosh we didn't think about or mention cancer once, swimming cricket party dances quizzes, early mornings and late nights it was almost normal except for a fridge full of fortisip and trying to remember to take the capacetabine. Peter taught the boys chess, and he ate so much better while we were away, I think he tries harder when we are all together

children are brilliant at making you laugh. They told Peter the swimming pool was full of alcohol ( they meant chlorine) He couldn't wait to dive in.

But all good things end so it was home on Monday, and straight up to  The Marsden, more tests and commenced cycle 7 of 8. soon will have the CT scan to determine what next and time frame.

Peters stent means he  needs to sleep sitting up and I need  my legs up we have bought electric beds and are excitedly waiting for delivery on Saturday. should be lovely so long as he keeps his hands off my buttons.........

All in all we are enjoying life as much as we can and try not to think to far ahead its 6 months since he was diagnosed and 4 months since we were told he is T3 N1 inoperable, and here we are 3 Stents later on 19th week of chemo. still smiling.

Everyone on here is following a hard and twisty path bravely, turning each corner to face a new obstacle, and struggling to find ways through.  Best wishes to you all keep fighting and try and enjoy any sunshine that comes your way.
