Thank You xx

1 minute read time.

Thank you all for your replies and  messages following my last brief post, We do appreciate your kind words and support.

I am pleased to say that we have 'oiked Peter back by the braces' and are in a more settled place.

It has been a hairy and exhausting time and  I wondered how we could keep going, as you all know its hard to stay focused and positive when you are so tired you could sleep standing up, let alone give cohesive accurate accounts and reasoned arguments to ensure the best for your dear ones.

Any way we will not dwell on the past but look forward again.

Following a raft of tests TRB have said that Peter's heart has not suffered to much damage and although they need to do a 24hour ECG and another scan, they feel he could tolerate more chemotherapy.

Peter stoically completed his 12 days of Radiotherapy , even with every thing else going on.

His nausea and sickness has resolved.and we returned home last night :)) and sank happily into our bed.

The Plan :-

  • Trial Office have been informed of "Major Event" they will decide whether Peter can continue on the MM1 study with or without Herceptin.
  • We return to RMH on Tuesday for a planning meeting with the team

So we have six wonderful days stretched out in front of us , tucked up here at home , the sun is shining, Peter can rest and gain strength in the garden which is looking lovely spring flowers and birds feeding on the table, very relaxing.

And, I must tell you this, When Peter was in crushing pain and felt the end was approaching. I asked him if he wanted to ask the young pretty Doctor anything

his reply " I don't suppose she would go out with me anyway".................
