We made it to the 02 with our daughter and her partner to see Meatloaf, we had never been to the 02 before so it was interesting to be there. At 65 and not in the best of health Meatloaf gave an entertaining performance. most enjoyable. we stayed with them the night then on to my Mother the following day to arrange new carers for her as current agency is not providing a good enough service, just hope the new arrangement works . We got home late as roadworks caused massive delays. Then last day of school holidays so up and out bowling with the grandchildren.
Worn out so duvet day today.....
Peters swallowing has really deteriorated he is living on liquids, strained homemade soup, Complan Jelly smooth yogurt, ice cream. I feel he has dug deep to achieve the last few days but he was determined to go. His poor feet have blistered soles again. his hands are sore and cracked and we wonder whether its worth carrying on with the chemotherapy. when his swallowing is getting worse.
Any way we have an appointment at The Royal Marsden on Monday so only one day to go and we have a long list of questions/ issues this time.
Like just about everyone on this site we are frustrated and cross with this unwelcome guest who lets us think we are coping then spins us round to face the next level.
