Thank you all for your nice encouraging replies they mean a lot to me .
Mums party was brilliant she thoroughly loved every moment.
I was slightly unnerved when Peter and I arrived at the Football club I hired for the event, to find 4 matches being played , now don't get me wrong I am a fan of men in shorts. but the car park was chocka and there were muddy men and supporters everywhere.
I wished I was a bit more sporty, "How long does a football match last" I asked Peter, hoping it would be over before my party started "Dunno" he says with a look that said does it matter well yes it did matter to me a lot I could see Mums gentle fork buffet turning into a fight for an orange at half time..
I marched into the nearest group of men to ask where the hall was. "Were an away team love" was the answer same thing happened each time I asked. so I changed tack and approached a family and bingo thankfully I was in the new stadium block. I was taken to the old block and all was well a lovely comfortable venue. Our youngest daughter and son in law arrived to help us set up and suddenly. .................Football finished, Car park cleared and Fork Buffet for Forty Commenced.
Mums Bridesmaids sat discussing dresses worn at Mums wedding and argued over whether the shoes had been sprayed silver or were bought that colour.
The Fortisip vases, complete with the flowers were given away by Mum as people left.
Peter enjoyed the chatter and socializing, a few beers at the bar had him fast asleep before I was out of the car park for the 2 hour drive home, BLISS, I drove back listening to the radio without him telling me how to drive... Its strange I have been driving for over 40 years and long before I met Peter yet he still gives me a lesson everytime we go out xxxx
Up to The Marsden tomorrow at first light Peter has 4 appointments Bloods, Drs to discuss options to widen undetermined narrowing above stent so he can swallow better again then, Herceptin and CT scan. busy day but good to get it done in one.
