Thank Christ this is anonymous, and my cred hasn’t gone totally out of the window. But this is no time for playing it cool. Today was testament to that.
The bath is my stage, the shower is my mic, ‘The power of love’ is on full blast.
I put my hands in the air and I sang.
It was literally loudest most dramatic version of the classic 80’s Christmas love song that has ever been sung. Ever. I danced around looking like Bridget Jones (when she necks a bottle of vodka on her own) and the tears started. There it is. Absolutely no shame. For the full 5min 30 seconds I sang cried in my shower.
I got out feeling like a new woman. I can breathe.
Everyone needs a power ballad.
