treatment plans

Less than one minute read time.

The scans were quite positive. The cancer remains localised. Radiation and chemo are the planned treatment at present. However, I must improve my fitness first. I am a little underweight so for 3 or 4 weeks a high calorie diet is in order. The drinks are revolting but go down quite easily. I am relieved to be told surgery hopefully will not be necessary but have been warned that this plan could be subject to change. This is also something that reading other peoples experience on this site has shown me that this disease is not always, or in fact, is ever predictable.

    Hi Harvey

Great news mate - and you are starting to sound more positive! - good for you. You are right, this disease is not predictable - but then what in life is ?

All we can do is tackle each hurdle as it arises, some we jump, some we trip over - but the important thing is to pick yourself up and tackle the next one.

Wishing you so well on your journey and please remember there are so many people who really do understand the pain, both mental and physical  and the problems of coping with this disease that you never need to be alone.

At least you now a great excuse for burning any diet sheets ! - take care and stay strong mate.

    Hugs

    John xx

Hi Harvey, I'm really pleased for you. How are the rabbits? We have never had pets, but oddly since partner diagnosed a month ago I have really thought I would love a dog or something, but probably not a good time to get a pet! I just have to satisfy myself with looking at wildlife programmes on telly, somehow animals make me feel happy even at this awful time.

Very best wishes to you, take care,

    Hope x.
