Being a part of the Mac Family i feel like i am perfectly normal and incredibly lucky. Our moods go up and down with the drugs as we are all going through the same thing and yet our experience is unique to us. why am i lucky i hear you ask, well i have had some great advice and realised that feeling down can be turned on it's head quicker than scoffing a box of chocs by going on line and getting tips, hints and best of all support!

So thank you Mac Family for making today a better day.

I'm glad you are finding support in Macland. Some people don't understand how this siite works (my husband for one!) and how much people both give and, when neccessary, take comfort and advice.

Hi, it was actually my husband who used the site as a method to find answers to his questions and to see if i was 'normal' during my treatment. He used to look at related chat and it would either put his mind and my mind at rest or he would make me see a Dr. I was the one who thought i didn't need support form strangers- well wasn't i wrong,

Hi Kerry,

I am taking this trip on the other side - my mum is the one with cancer. Some of my 'friends' have said is it good for her being on this site??? For me personally YES. Do they understand NO. Would I want them to? Absoluty not! The support and understanding I have here is what keeps me strong and sane.

I have experienced the mood swings. It's not easy for me as a daughter to see this but knowing how mum feels I know it is much worse for her. I hope and pray every day that she will find a positive thought to carry her through each day. So for that although I hate this illness with a vengence I am so grateful there is somewhere that as a unit we can find support.
