Update 21 March 2014

Less than one minute read time.

I took my wife into hospital this morning for her operation, -hip replacement.  No news yet but I will telephone the ward, shortly, to find if she is out of theatre and recovering normally.  Since returning home have done some useful work in the garden and some tidying up in the house.  Papers sorted, put away or binned.

I continue to feel very well but I would like a good night's sleep tonight as I will not be disturbed except by my own bladder and I hope not too often by that.  Ibuprofen for aches and stiffness stopped yesterday, now on occasional  paracetamol only.  Seems to work well so that I may only need a little help to get to sleep now.

Appointment in Oncology next wednesday, 26th, to learn details of progress, blood results and future of treatment.  May my remission last, and last and.........

Thank you Elma, how are you doing?  I was a bit hasty in stopping the ibuprofen and had to take a little today.

Yesterday I took my wife into hospital for her op and returned to see her in the evening. 18miles driving each way and the last trip was in the dark, which I don't enjoy much now.  Glad to say the op was a success and I saw her in the ward this afternoon, quite chirpy but not able to move much yet.  I had done that driving and I had done too much bending and digging in the garden between the car trips so I paid for it last night.  Restless legs and difficulty in getting to sleep.  Lesson learned!.

All the very best to you, with love,
