I started writing this posting and I lost it! Disappeared. Trick of my laptop? Gone into The Cloud?
After months of lack of sleep I'm now able to sleep better. When the pain from the pelvic fracture and RT was at its worst I couldn't get into bed or settle once there. I slept in a chair in the lounge for a while. Next, I could climb into bed but had to sleep on my back, supported all round by pillows. Now, at last, I can get into bed normally and sleep on my side, turning over as I wish. I still have to get up every 1-2 hours for the frequency. Today I was able to walk to the postbox twice and pay a bill at the local builders. Having two crutches made me feel stable and took weight off the bad leg. Soon I hope to leave the crutches behind.
As the pain has become much less, so the tiredness is oozing out of me. I can drop off to sleep at any time when sitting to watch TV or even with the paper or at meals. I don't feel like doing anything but can if I push myself. Appetite is poor and I can't taste much. Drugs? I have no idea. Now the pain is less I hope to start reducing the ibuprofen and the capsule I have to take to protect my stomach lining from the ibu.
Very strange. Less pain now, moving more, can get about the house without a crutch sometimes. But so tired. Feel unreal. Vivid dreams last night, not unpleasant but detailed like videos. Hope for better feelings if the sun comes out tomorrow. Today, dull, cold, no sun, no wind, (November but it's now December!).
As for drugs or RT, that will be decided, I hope, at the oncology clinic on Friday. I want a treatment plan I can understand with the aim of holding "The Enemy" at bay. GP surgery say they will post me a copy of my last blood test so I can take it to oncology. Hope it arrives in time. All I know for sure is that my PSA went up again.
